Price, platforms and requirements

Quick answer

Base price is 15 USD with regional pricing and a 10 percent launch discount for two weeks. It is Windows-only today; Mac and Linux support is planned, and a mobile port has no priority before 2027.

Platforms and ports

PlatformStatusDetail
WindowsSupported at launch64-bit required
LinuxNot officially supportedDescribed as working through Proton, support planned
macOSNot officially supportedPlanned for the coming months
MobilePlanned, no dateDeprioritised until Box Mode ships

If you are on macOS or Linux, the practical advice is the same: it is not officially supported yet, and the developer has said official support is coming. Buying now is buying a Windows game.

System requirements

MinimumRecommended
OS64-bit Windows64-bit Windows
ProcessorIntel Core i3-6100 or equivalentNot specified
Memory4 GB RAMNot specified
GraphicsIntel HD 530 or equivalent with Vulkan 1.0 driverNot specified
DirectX9.09.0
Storage4000 MBNot specified

The Vulkan 1.0 driver requirement is the clause that catches people out. It is a driver feature, not a hardware tier, and an older integrated GPU with a stale driver will fail even though the rest of the spec matches. The performance page covers that in detail.

What 15 dollars buys today

Included nowComing later
World, region, zone and POI editorsQuest, event and pet editors (Q1 2027)
NPC, monster, race, item and equipment editorsDungeon, boss and mount editors (Q2 2027)
Simulation: needs, factions, diplomacy, capture, ageingClass and spell editors (Q3 2027)
Steam Workshop: worlds, prefabs, custom spritesModding framework (1.0, Q4 2027)
Prefabs and the default prefab worldBox Mode (Q1 2027)

The honest framing: you are buying a worldbuilding toolkit with a working simulation, not a finished management game. The creation side is worth the price today; the authoring side arrives over the next year.

Is there a demo

There was a demo, and the developer has said it will return once it has been reworked. There is no date. If you want to test performance before buying, the Steam refund window is the mechanism that exists right now.

The roadmap page lists every phase with its features, the Early Access state page is the in/out list, and the launch problems page covers what to do if it will not start.
